During dinner right before an unpaid show in Santa Cruz I opened a complimentary fortune cookie I’d received. The fortune read A way out of a fi nancial mess is discovered as if by magic! Great news I thought, and decided to place the fortune on the merch table to increase sales. Despite the fortunes magical ability I still sold no records that night.
